Kareem Bayoun says collaborating is important to Brandverse’s success

Brandverse is an up-and-coming NFT brand focusing on bridging the gap between NFT and physical wearables. Their focus so far has been on collaborating with other high-quality projects and educating young people about the Web3, crypto, and NFT spaces. Their co-founder and CEO,  Kareem Bayoun is extremely bullish on the NFT ecosystem as a whole. Particularly projects within the metaverse and wearables niche. Kareem spoke exclusively to NFTEvening about Brandverse and the wider space of NFTs.

Brandverse is an extremely innovative wearables NFT project.

What is Brandverse?

Brandverse is a Berlin-based startup that is launching physical and digital wearables. It was co-founded by Kareem Bayoun, Gabriele Sibelli, Ivan Litvinenko, and Stefano Balduzzi.

Kareem himself has been involved in crypto since 2020 and NFTs since the early Bored Ape Yacht Club days, he recalled: “My first NFT was an ape. I was lucky to be in that early although not so lucky to have not held it so much, I sold really early as well, which wasn’t the best thing but honestly I’m very thankful because it brought me to where I am today.”

“I dabbled into NFTs directly before the hype kicked off. Then I saw the craze that happened, it was surreal. Honestly, from back in the Bored Ape days where it was the only drop during the week and now you have 17,000 drops per day. So, I do buy and sell NFTs, I am an NFT degenerate myself and I’m in a lot of communities. Primary Fluf World, and also Doge Pound. As well as metaverse communities like Netvrk and Ethereum Towers”

The company’s focus

Until now, the brand has been focused a lot on education and collaborations. Firstly, education is extremely important to Brandverse and Kareem personally. “I was approached by LMU, which is Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, to give a talk about what we’re doing about NFTs as a whole, blockchain a little bit and why are brands entering the space? So we saw there are a lot of people interested in what we’re saying. So we’re repeating that in different universities.”

He further spoke on collaborations, and their importance to Brandverse, by stating: “Wearable NFTs without partnerships just don’t make sense. If we really want the space to be open like we imagined it to be, assets must be interoperable and transportable to different metaverses. At the end of the day, the avatar is the digital extension of yourself. We think collaborating with other NFT projects is extremely vital for our success.”

What’s Next for Brandverse?

Speaking on the rest of this calendar year, and Brandverse’s plans to expand in it, Kareem said:

“We’re looking to launch another collection after the watches… Our extended roadmap includes 3 different products, starting with watches, sneakers next, and headphones.”
