Beyond the original TV show and the ongoing spinoff series, Game of Thrones fans have yet another way to get their fix; NFTs. This comes as toymaker Funko has announced a new Digital Pop! Lineup that includes original characters from the HBO show.
GoT lovers can get their hands on NFTs featuring stylised illustrations of beloved characters on the NFT platform Droppp from October 4, 2022.
House of the NFTs
These NFTs feature fan-favourite characters like Jamie Lannister, Daenerys Targaryen, Arya Stark, Jon Snow, Jaqen H’ghar, and The Hound. The NFTs also come in different ‘pack’ sizes with different price tags.
A standard pack with 5 characters will cost $9.99, while a ‘Premium pack’ with 15 character figures goes for $29.99. In total, 625,000 NFTs will be available across 31,250 of each pack. Those who buy the NFTs can also use them to redeem physical NFT collectables.
Given how popular the show was during its initial run and how lasting its cultural impact has been, with a current spinoff ‘House of the Dragon’ airing currently, there will likely be a lot of demand for these. And if this NFT sale is successful, we could get a similar collection for the spinoff show as well.
