For the years since its inception, the world of Web3 has predominantly existed through interactions within the digital domain. A place where it has serviced the industry from behind a million computer screens and built an epic community of forward-thinking innovators. Now however, these champions of the digital space will receive their very-own high-end physical destination where they can network, share ideas and generally engage in casual frivolity. Say hello, then, to CLUB 3 the new location set to change the shape of Web3 and provide a place for its proponents to unwind.
The first such destination is earmarked for a 2023 launch on L.A.’s Sunset Boulevard, and will feature a 10,000 square-foot (930 square meters) facility loaded with hospitality features such as a dining area, bars, a cocktail lounge, a rooftop restaurant and karaoke rooms. The extravagant club will also play host to industry events, community meetups, talks, seminars, Q&A sessions, and other in-person and virtual experiences. In addition, CLUB 3 will also run on a Web3 ethos, and will consequently allow community voting on the way it is run.
CLUB 3 is the brainchild of Meta Hollywood, a joint venture between Animoca Brands and Planet Hollywood. Once the L.A. spot becomes operational, the club will add additional global locations in places like New York, Miami, London, Paris, Hong Kong, and Tokyo.
How to Get in on the Action
To become a part of CLUB 3, individuals must purchase an NFT membership in a mint that will arrive this Sumer. At that time, NFTs will become available in four categories: founding, social, global, and corporate. Each category offers unique perks and comes with a different price tag. For example, a social membership costs about $3,000 or 1.57 ETH, while a founding membership costs roughly $10,000 or 5.14 ETH. If an interested party wants to purchase a corporate membership, they will need to work with the club’s concierge service. Additionally, there is a global upgrade that can be purchased separately from the other memberships, which costs $2,000 or 1.05 ETH. All memberships are mintable NFTs, and interested individuals should keep this in mind while considering their options.
Commenting on the objectives of CLUB 3, Yat Siu, cofounder and executive chairman of Animoca Brands, notes, “CLUB 3 will foster and galvanize the broader Web3 community and serve as a launchpad for those wanting to learn more about this new world.”
He goes on to add that “Members will interact within the club’s numerous facility perks and experience what Meta Hollywood can offer. With this project, communities across the Animoca Brands ecosystem will have access to new possibilities.”
