NFTs will once again head to one of the grandest stages in the entertainment industry. With Snoop Dogg and Eminem set to perform their hit BAYC single, ‘From the D 2 the LBC’, at MTVs Video Music Awards (VMAs).
For the first time in over a decade, the infamous rappers will demonstrate their talents at MTVs biggest music celebration. However, taking a much more innovative approach to their hotly anticipated show than you may expect. As a result, host organizer, MTV, has partnered with BAYC creator, Yuga Labs, to beam the performance directly from the ‘Otherside’. Marking the first time MTV has incorporated the metaverse into its star studded event.

During the show, Snoop Dogg and Eminem will take to Yuga Labs experimental monkey powered metaverse. Wherein, they will don their own personal BAYC avatars, and light up the awards with a raucous rendition of their hit song. An epic celebration of rap music from a brand-new digital medium of entertainment. Representing a turning point as the virtual realm continues to bleed into the physical world.
Those wishing to witness this musical spectacle can tune in to the VMAs, beginning at 8pm ET on August 28.
