Meet the Octopus Game NFT collection: Now, you have a chance to become part of an exclusive metaverse, rife with life-or-death games. The collection is on trend, with metaverse features and 10,000 unique, randomly generated NFTs dwelling on the Solana blockchain.
So, what is it all about? According to Octopus Game NFT’s website, it is “the first NFT project of its kind to host a series of games in a virtual metaverse for holders to participate in.” This means, only holders of Octopus Game NFTs will be able to enter the upcoming Octopus Game metaverse and stand a chance to win cash prizes.
Octopus Game NFT: Different tokens and the metaverse
The Octopus Game NFT collection consists of 9,500 Participant and 500 Host/VIP NFTs. These are generated from seven customizable attributes hand-drawn by the project’s artist. Participant NFT, as the name suggests, will allow holders to participate in various games in the Octopus game metaverse. This NFT will function as your 3D virtual avatar, using which you can compete against other participants.
On the other hand, the Host NFT serves as a governance token, allowing you to become an organizer of the Octopus Game Metaverse. Additionally, these tokens represent 25% of the game’s equity and the holders will receive a portion of all future revenue streams. Meanwhile, the VIP NFT is an extremely rare token that only a lucky few can claim. The holders of VIP NFT will enjoy both high economic as well as in-game benefits. The NFT project is yet to release more details on this rare token.
An NFT and metaverse game like this, is of course, incomplete without an attractive prize pool. The NFT project will reserve 25% of the proceeds from the collection’s mint for the initial prize pool. Additionally, 5% royalties of every secondary sale will also go to the prize pool. Based on the prize pool, the team will distribute cash prizes to winners of various competitions.
The mint will go live at 5 pm UTC on November 11, at 2 SOL each. A limited supply of 1,111 Gen 1 Octopus Game NFTs will be available at 1.5 SOL.
What’s next in store?
Essentially, The Octopus Game aims to reward its players through cash rewards and various exclusive features. In this regard, the team has planned plenty of benefits in their roadmap. One such benefit is NFT breeding, where two or more participant tokens can breed to create a new participant token. This can be sold on secondary marketplaces. Furthermore, the project will airdrop Octopus Game items to all NFT holders at the beginning of next year.
Moreover, they aim to release the Octopus Game metaverse and the competitions in Q2 2022. This will be followed by the release of in-metaverse gambling, where token holders can bet on the winner of each competition to win multiples of their stake.
