To the excitement of parents everywhere and just in time for the holidays, US toy retailer Toys R Us has announced an incoming NFT collection. The new drop is in partnership with Anybodies, and is based on the Solana blockchain. These assets are to be released on December 9, 2022.
A New Web3 Entrance
The collection will comprise 10,000 assets based on Geoffrey the Giraffe, the company’s official mascot. The company has stated they will be released in several drops, and different groups will have different priority levels.
Before the public sale, there is an ongoing private pre-sale that will see 500 NFTs sold to early birds and 1,000 to current Anybodies NFT holders. Whitelist spots have also been reserved for the first 500 people to join its Discord.
Then there is the public sale, with 2,000 assets reserved for the general public and another 2,000 for whitelist members. All assets are priced at $100 each.
The exciting announcement marks the only web3-based plan the company currently has. One future possibility may be a digital marketplace with exclusive perks; however, this is yet to be confirmed.
