It has been announced that Atari, the legendary gaming company, will be joining The Sandbox metaverse. This will coincide with the launch of Alpha Season 3 and represents a meeting of both classic and modern gaming.
Details About the Development
As Atari joins, Alpha Season 3, The Sandbox’s newest season, it will be releasing two titles; Atari’s Sunnyvale and Atari: Crystal Castles. The former will act as a hub where classic titles can be enjoyed, granting access to a new generation of players.
The latter sees Crystal Castles, one of Atari’s classic games, remade for the metaverse and available to Sandbox users. This launch is coming at just the right time given that Alpha Season 3 is gearing up to be The Sandbox’s biggest one yet. Over a 10-week period, 98 experiences will be launched in The Sandbox, with fresh content uploaded each day and prizes to be won.
The prizes will be given after players enter a raffle in which Alpha Season 3 passes can be won. During the season, players can also ascend on the leaderboard and earn up to 500 $SAND tokens. And all these will be available while enjoying some of the most beloved gaming titles from Atari.
